TrainWithZach teaches practical, responsible firearm ownership and real-world self-defense. Classes are designed for adults at every skill level — from first-time shooters to experienced defenders — with an emphasis on safe technique, sound decision-making, and measurable performance. Curriculum can be delivered as scheduled public classes, private lessons, or custom workshops tailored to your students or facility.
Course Offerings
Pistol Training
- Defensive Pistol One — 8 hours
Build a solid foundation for everyday-carry (EDC) use: safe handling, fundamentals, and practical defensive shooting. - Defensive Pistol Two — 8 hours
Stress drills, real-world application, and performance metrics to raise competency under pressure. - Additional Pistol Classes

Shotgun Training
- Rules of the Gauge — 4 or 8 hours
Shotgun fundamentals, control, and manipulation for defensive and practical uses. - Defensive Shotgun 1 & 2 — Two-Day (or split into one-day sessions)
Progressive curriculum covering control, manipulations, applications, and measurable performance. - Full Spectrum Shotgun — 2 days
A comprehensive defensive shotgun course co-taught with industry pros Jonathan Willis (Gunset Training Group) and Adam Roth (Aridus Industries). - Additional Shotgun Classes

Pistol/Shotgun Workshops (Short Format)
- Battlefield Pickup — 4 hours
Become effective with unfamiliar firearms: semi-autos, revolvers, and shotguns. - Ballistics 101 — 4 hours
Practical overview of terminal performance, penetration, and what different calibers actually do.
Church Security Training
Church Security Training — 4 or 8 hours
This course prepares church staff and volunteers to protect their congregation through awareness, preparation, and practical response skills. Students learn how to identify potential threats, de-escalate situations, and implement safety protocols that align with their church’s culture and mission. Training covers communication, team coordination, legal and moral considerations, and defensive tactics appropriate to faith-based environments.
By the end of the course, participants will be better equipped to safeguard their church community while maintaining a welcoming and compassionate atmosphere.
